Castle Rock is celebrated for its small-town charm and picturesque location at the foot of the Rocky Mountains. Conveniently located halfway between the nearby cities of Denver and Colorado Springs, this town boasts an abundance of attractions and events that draw visitors year-round. Golf enthusiasts will not be disappointed when visiting Castle Rock, as the town boasts numerous golf courses, including Red Hawk Ridge and The Ridge at Castle Pines North, both featuring 18 holes of championship golf. History buffs appreciate the Castle Rock Museum, where a large selection of artifacts, photographs and displays depict the area's history. Every July the city comes alive during the two-day Castle Rock WineFest. Throughout the festival 20 Californian wineries present their award-winning wines in a festive, open-air setting. Outdoor enthusiasts enjoy the close proximity of the Pike National Forest, which is known for its abundance of recreational opportunities and spectacular scenic byways.
